Patch notes
A running log of what changed at 27Rockets.
The current release is v0.7.0. We’re keeping the notes short, useful, and focused on the things players will notice.
v0.7.0 · A brighter little factory
A fresh look for Cogli and every corner of 27Rockets.
- New: 90 freshly generated daily puzzles are published for 8 September through 6 December, with gentler Mondays and varied machinery through the week. Every three-star target is a proven minimum.
- Improved: A friendly new visual system: rounded lettering, a bright factory board, clearer machine illustrations and a matching night theme.
- Improved: A simpler navigation, illustrated guide and redesigned home, archive, account and leaderboard pages.
- Fixed: Replacement puzzles start a fresh build instead of restoring a factory saved for an older board.
v0.6.0 · The Workshop is open
· Cogli generator 7.0.0
New machinery, three free practice challenges and more control over every factory run.
- New: Clock gates open in repeating windows; resource filters let only the pictured material through.
- New: The Workshop has three replayable challenges for timing, mixed resources and engine assembly, with separate saved progress.
- Improved: New daily scheduling mixes routing, sorting, transport, timing and assembly, with difficulty targets across the week.
- Improved: Pause, step through a run, inspect a machine and scrub the timeline to understand a blocked factory.
- Fixed: Your best factory survives edits, worse solves and reloads. Archive and Workshop play keep today's unfinished save safe.
- Improved: Run controls stay beside the board, keyboard editing is more consistent, and failed local saves are clearly reported.
v0.5.0 · A smarter factory floor
Cogli now has a privacy-first daily leaderboard, clearer routing tools and more forgiving day-to-day play.
- New: Players can opt into the daily leaderboard with a generated or chosen display handle.
- Improved: Leaderboard entries never expose email addresses or real account identities.
- Improved: Share messages and cards now ask: Can you beat me?
- New: Priority gates prefer a straight route and turn right when the preferred exit is blocked.
- New: Bridge pieces are now presented as Crossovers, making their independent crossing lanes easier to read.
- Improved: Progress now autosaves through tab switches and mobile browser suspension, with recovery after refresh.
- Improved: Remove mode can be dragged across a run of pieces, and Run returns to continuous playback without tick stepping.
- New: Optional haptic feedback adds small taps for running, output and completion on supported devices.
v0.5.0 · A clearer way into Cogli
The Cogli tutorial and help page now keep pace with the newer boards, while replaying the tutorial works reliably for returning players.
- New: The playable tutorial now teaches gravity wells, wormhole pairs and magnets with dedicated practice boards.
- Improved: How to play now documents every current Cogli component and fixed tile, plus belt painting and direct rotation.
- Fixed: Replay the tutorial now opens the tutorial flow even after it has already been completed, then returns to today's puzzle.
v0.3.0 · Buffers
· Cogli generator 6.5.0
Cogli buffers make timing part of the route: fill the tile, then release the batch through the factory one resource at a time.
- New: Fixed buffers accept resources from any side and wait until their capacity is full before opening.
- New: A full buffer drains one resource per tick in its marked direction, then closes when empty.
- New: Admin generation can include buffers as optional shortcuts, timing challenges, or red herrings.
- Improved: The board icon shows the buffer's current fill level during a replay.
- Improved: The icon guide explains the fill-first rule only on puzzles that contain a buffer.
v0.2.0 · Wormholes and Magnets
· Cogli generator 6.4.0
Cogli’s board now has more to discover: fixed mechanics can open clever routes or distract you from the cleanest solution.
- New: Fixed wormhole pairs teleport resources between matching endpoints, creating optional shortcuts and red herrings.
- New: Magnets accept iron and copper from any side and eject them in their marked direction.
- Improved: Wormholes and magnets are never part of the player's inventory, so they remain part of the puzzle's built-in logic.
- Improved: The icon guide only shows these mechanics when the current puzzle contains them, keeping everyday boards uncluttered.
- Improved: Cogli now has stronger solver, simulator, and generator coverage for advanced fixed obstacles.
v0.1.0 · Gravity Well
· Cogli generator 6.3.0
Cogli gets a new advanced obstacle: a shortcut that rewards players who can read the board differently.
- New: Gravity Wells pull a resource in from one side, hold it for a tick, and eject it from the marked side.
- New: Admin generation can require a Gravity Well and will only keep boards where the solution actually uses it.
- Improved: The icon guide explains the Gravity Well only on puzzles that contain one, keeping standard boards uncluttered.
- Improved: Cogli now has stronger solver, simulator, and generator coverage for advanced fixed obstacles.
- Improved: Recent Cogli updates also include 8×8 boards, belt painting, direct rotation, sorters, and clearer machine icons.
